Our Staff
We have an experienced, dynamic and multi-skilled team of dedicated teachers and support staff here at Ingleby Greenhow, who channel energy and enthusiasm into ensuring children's learning experiences are stimulating, challenging and fun.

Ms Kirsti-Anna Hume
Our headteacher Kirsti-Anna Hume is passionate about inclusion, creative learning, literacy and personal development. She is highly experienced in leading small schools and knows how to strike a balance between meeting individual needs and setting high aspirations and acadmenic expectations for all. Ms Hume has a small teaching commitment teaching Forest and Fields Classes in Key Stage Two. When she's not in school, she spends her time playing the piano, writing songs, walking in the hills and decorating (and redecorating!) her house.

Mrs Sandra Butler
Sandra Butler is our SENCO and senior leader who teaches in Forest and Fields Class. She is a very knowledgeable and experienced special educational needs practitioner and is relentless in her pursuit to find the right support for our children and remove barriers to learning. Mrs Bulter also leads on RE, Collective Worship, PSHE and PE. She has been at the school a very long time and knows the place and it's people inside out! In her spare time she can be found running along the cliffs of her home town of Whitby.

Mrs Emily Sanders
Emily Sanders teaches our Roots and Shoots Class and leads on phonics and science. She is very experienced in Key Stage 1 and knows how to make children's learning academically rigorous, whilst also igniting children's inner spark and child-like spirit. After a long day's teaching, Emily goes home to enjoy spending time with her young family.

Mrs Jenny Woodward
Jenny Woodward teaches our Roots and Shoots Class and has a passion for Early Years, where she leads on building vital foundations for learning with our very youngest children. Jenny has tremendous vision for what excellent Early Year provision looks like and has developed a depth of expertise in this area over many years of both teaching and motherhood. Jenny loves creating cosy and stimulating environments for our children, and at home time returns to her family to do much the same for them!

Mr James Thacker
James Thacker teaches across all our classes and leads on Creative Pedagogies, Curriculum Enrichment, DT and Performing Arts. He comes from a theatre-background and brings a wonderful energy to teaching and learning at Ingleby Greenhow. Children love his creative and engaging lessons, and he works magic instilling challenging vocabulary and enthusing children to read, write and perform. He's also a wizz at AI! James spends his spare time in the thick of mid-century DIY projects.
